Now is it me or what?
But whenever I visit Bournemouth & surrounding areas on my jollies there're quite a number of old school Fords from the 80's, I'm talking about Mk3 Escorts, Mk3 Granadas & not to mention the odd Sierra too.
The Granada incidently I saw in the Boscombe area, F-reg in a metallic green paintwork, with the original wheel trims too!

No problem mate, will be around tomorrow so might pop in"Eleanor" style Mustang near Northampton yesterday about 12pm....I was travelling back from a night out.
On a slightly different note I almost got killed on the way up there on Saturday. About 3pm, in the inside lane on the M40 doing about 80mph, heavy traffic on the outside of me in L2 and L3 and cars travelling fairly close behind. I see a car on the hard shoulder in the distance and immediately think "old person" as it was one of those narrow-but-tall boxes which only seem to be bought by the blue rinse brigade - think Vauxhall Agila. This box was indicating right to come back on the motorway but not moving at all. I couldn't flash and let her out as my closing speed was too high and I couldn't move out myself.
....
As I got to within 30-40 feet of her she pulled straight out into L1.
No attempt even to accelerate and merge, she just pulled out from a complete stop.
I think I had a second or two to react - I had to go around her on the inside, on the shoulder itself...I never would have been able to brake in time to avoid her. I had to stop in the services by the Silverstone road, I was actually shaking and close to tears. I don't think I've ever been so close to dying in a car in my life, and I've been in a few crashes. If the hard shoulder hadn't been there then I literally would have ploughed into the back of her with a 50-60mph differential after braking.
Of course, as I drove past her and looked in my mirror she was about 80 years old and could barely see over the wheel, she didn't even seem to realise that she almost caused a major accident.
